Big thanks to all of you for your very keen words after my last post, you really made my day and made me feel missed. Since the party is through my days returned to the normal routine and having internet is as well helping to get along with my old stuff.
As I already told Maryanne, there was the hell of 3 weeks and because many occurances made me feel very low and somehow out of the place I decided that it's the highest time to treat myself. As you could probably tell from the last post, I'm again on the retro trip and I guess that this time I will finally manage to pull it all the way through. As I was preparing the party, I've been quite often on The Fedora Lounge, where the subject of pin-ups was widely discussed, and I had seen many pictures of the girls who are indeed doing burlesque kind of shows. And you know what? Yes, I got fascinated. Not that I would necessarily do such shows, but I thought that this style might work for me. As many of you know, I've been struggling for a while to reinvent my style, I want something new, something that would make men turn their heads when I walk down the street or go "wow", when I enter the room. Maybe it's childlish or egoistic, but I do crave for this kind of recognition.
So, on monday I had this really wicked idea - I need naughty but nice pin-up pictures. Peter was of course more than willing to participate in the project. One day and Unlead Photo Express later I can proudly present you a Pin-Up Version of Truly Yours:
As you can see I even felt crafty and decided to practice my skills of computer graphic. Our bathroom is not that glamourus after all and it needed some extra vintage touch. The backgrounds you can see on the pictures are vintage fabrics, which I found online and then shamelessly cloned into pictures. I had tons of fun and already feel much better.
I'm a living proof that crafts are good for one's spirit ;) I guess that it's more than right, what Maryanne once told me that a good Pin-Up shooting keeps one happy and keen. Have to try those more often...
So, Ladies and Gentelmen, what do you reckon, am I a pretty Pin-up?
Have a good one!
